PRIVACY POLICY

WRECKCHORD is a melody-building arcade space shooter. You can play the whole game without an account. An account is optional and only exists to save your progress to the cloud and put your runs on the global leaderboards. This policy explains what we collect when you use those online features, why, and how to get rid of it.

WHAT WE COLLECT

• Account details - the callsign (username) you choose, the email address you register with (you use it to sign in and to recover your account), and your password, which is always stored securely.
• Gameplay data - your run scores, survival times, kills, chosen ship and mood, combo stats, commendations, in-game SALVAGE balance, and your cloud save (your unlocks and progress). Timed runs you choose to save also store the note sequence of that run so it can be replayed.
• Anti-cheat & security data - a per-run summary used to verify a score is legitimate, and your IP address, used for rate-limiting, abuse prevention, and detecting tampering.
• Device linking - identifiers that tie the devices you link to the same account so your progress stays in sync across them.

We do not collect contacts, photos, location, or any advertising identifier. WRECKCHORD contains no ads and no third-party advertising or analytics tracking SDKs.

HOW WE USE IT

Strictly to run the game service: to save and sync your progress across your devices, to rank runs on the public leaderboards, to keep the boards fair by detecting cheating, and to support your account. That's it.

WHAT'S PUBLIC

The leaderboards and public player pages show your callsign and your run results (score, ship, mood, time) to everyone - that's the point of a leaderboard. Your email, password, and IP address are never public.

WHO ELSE SEES IT

We do not sell your data or share it for advertising. If you install via Google Play, Google processes your purchase and provides standard install/crash data under its own policies. We may disclose data if legally required.

HOW LONG WE KEEP IT

We keep your account data while your account exists. When you delete your account (see below) it is removed. We may retain a minimal anti-abuse record (such as a flag tied to a banned identity) to enforce bans.

YOUR CONTROL & DELETION

You can delete your account and its data at any time: sign in and go to your profile, then DELETE ACCOUNT. This permanently removes your account, runs, scores, cloud save, commendations, SALVAGE, and linked-device records from our servers. Full instructions, including what to do if you can't sign in, are on the account deletion page. Any save stored locally on your own device stays on that device until you clear the app's data.

CHILDREN

WRECKCHORD is a general-audience game and is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we'll remove it.

CHANGES

If this policy changes materially we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, note it in the game or on the site.
